Join the South Sound Symphonic Band as we open Season 44 with a concert that puts our own musicians in the spotlight!

Be Our Guest celebrates the creativity and talents within the band, featuring works written by two of our own musicians, trombonists Emily Graham and David Lambert. Lambert will also step into the spotlight as soloist on his Concerto for Trombone and Wind Ensemble, movement 2: Fat Orleans.

The program takes us on a musical journey from the swinging sounds of Them Basses March and the drama of Lexicon of the Gods to the inspiring journey of The Road Less Traveled. We’ll celebrate America’s favorite pastime with John Philip Sousa’s The National Game, experience the profound beauty of O Magnum Mysterium, and finish with the magic of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Highlights from Beauty and the Beast.

And this concert isn’t just about listening! Audience members are invited to join the fun with a coloring-page art gallery, bringing their own creativity into the concert experience.

Come be our guest as we begin another season of free live music, community, and connection.

Admission is free and open to the public.
